General Information

What is Barn Mice Hockey?

• We are a community-driven hockey organization focused on creating unique experiences. Whether you've played your whole life or just learning, there’s a spot for you at the barn.

Where and When do you play? We have 5 sections

• Our primary home ice is six days a week @ The Graveyard, a 3v3 rink in LIC. Check the "Schedule" page for dates. You can sign up for those scrimmages on Bench App. $35 . We cap at 7v7. No Barn Mice jersey required. 

• Our arena skates happen 4-5 times a year. We visit a professional arenas (NHL, AHL, NCAA), watch the game and play on the ice after. Your cost covers all the hockey. Proces range from $150-$450 depending on the city and arena, Barn Mice Jersey required 

• Trips/One-offs/Tournaments - We will do local NYC trips, ie: Yonkers, Bear Mountain, NJ, PA to play against other teams or scrimmage each other in a different rink. No Barn Mice Jersey required. 

• The Barn Mice Beer League. We started the Barn Mice League in April of 2026. Barn Mice Jersey required. 

• We also run clinics for adults. No Jersey required. 

Registration & Eligibility

What skill levels do you cater to?

• Everyone is able to play, but we expect you to be able to fully stop and skate backwards. If you aren't sure where you fit, come out to one of our Graveyard skates!

• Registration happens in our Bench App, you can send us an e-mail at barnmicehockey@gmail.com to join. Once you are in, you can mark in your attendance. Please note that if you are unable to attend and no one can take your spot, you are on the hook for the $35 fee.

What is the minimum age to join?

• We ask players to be at least 18 but will make exceptions.

Do I need a USA Hockey membership?

• No

Gear & Equipment

What equipment is required?

• Full gear is mandatory for Graveyard and Arena sessions. This includes:

  • HECC-approved helmet (with cage/visor)

  • Shoulder pads, elbow pads, and shin guards

  • Hockey pants and gloves

  • Skates and stick

  • Jock/Jill and neck guard (highly recommended)

Schedule & Payments

Do the Barn Mice ever go on break or vacation?

• We play all year round at The Graveyard. Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer. Our arena skates only happen during the NHL season. We

• We do not offer refunds but will honor certain exchanges.
